Before I ever became a massage therapist, I was someone living with a chronic pain.
For years, I struggled with persistent lower back and hip pain (a mysterious left groin pain to be precise). It wasn’t just discomfort, it was the kind of pain that quietly shaped my days, my posture, my sleep and, of course, my mood in general.
 
When I began my trainings, I was interested immediately in the physical side of things: body assessment, anatomy, biomechanics, elements of physiotherapy. I became passionate about understanding the spine, posture and how the body moves and compensates. I saw how much precision and knowledge were needed to truly support someone in pain. Since 2011 I worked mainly with therapeutic Thai massage, trigger point therapy and deep tissue, helping others find relief, and along the way, I was learning just as much about my own body.
Like many in the healing professions, I was drawn to this path through my own experience. I always had to explore more beyond, simply because quick fixes never worked.
 
That journey led me far beyond anatomy books. I traveled to Asia (Thailand, India, Indonesia) and Europe (Germany, Greece, France, Poland, Spain, Portugal) multiple times, learning directly from masters of massage, bodywork, and self-massage techniques. I dove into body rolling, somatic practices, and nervous system education: all through my own need to feel better, move better, and finally live without pain.

Over time, I learned that the back doesn’t just hold the body, it holds our stories. Our posture, our pain, our protection, our pressure – it’s all there. Healing the back is never just physical. It’s also about addressing your emotions, thoughts and belief patterns.
